Largest Popular Science Initiative Draws Over 5,000 Participants

Co-organized by the Department of Industrial Engineering and Decision Analytics, the 11th Annual International Mathematical Modeling Challenge (IMMC) International Summit cum Award Ceremony brought together global experts to share their insights on various topics to promote local and international exchanges in mathematics education.
Organized by the Academy for Bright Future Young Engineers, the Bright Future Cup 2025 attracted students from 31 high schools to showcase their engineering skills and teamwork in an exciting soccer robotics competition.
Over 100 Primary 4 to Secondary 3 students from 24 schools participated in the HKUST Underwater Robot Competition 2025 on March 29-30. The competition concluded with an award presentation ceremony on May 10, 2025 (pictured), which also celebrated the 10th anniversary of the event.

The “HKUST-ExxonMobil iSTEAM Program 2024 – Smartbot Sports Day” drew around 150 students and teachers from 15 primary and secondary schools to experience and learn about STEAM, collaboration and leadership.
