The STEAM Day event drew around 2,000 participants over three days (January 16-18, 2025) to the HKUST campus for an engaging and interactive STEAM learning experience across multiple disciplines. Organized by the School of Engineering’s Center for Global & Community Engagement, the second edition of this annual event featured a wide spectrum of activities delivered by various departments/divisions and student teams, designed to ignite curiosity and foster a passion for STEAM subjects among primary and secondary school students. These included lab tours, DIY workshops, project demonstrations and game booths, covering a diverse range of topics such as robots, game development, digital art, electronic circuits, glider, windmills, genetics, VR/AR, and more.

The event was well-received with positive comments from participants, and many teachers expressed their interest in future collaborations to promote STEAM to more students.
