HKUST Engineering Teams Shone at Hong Kong Finale of HKUST-SINO One Million Dollar Entrepreneurship Competition 2025

Nine teams comprising School of Engineering (SENG) faculty members and students received a total of 10 awards—including the top three awards—at the Hong Kong finale of the “HKUST-SINO One Million Dollar Entrepreneurship Competition 2025” on September 30 at the HKUST Clear Water Bay campus. Notably, the team Stellerus Technology Limited from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering claimed the top Platinum Award and a Sustainability Impact Award.

Celebrating its 15th anniversary, the competition this year attracted 348 teams from around the world to compete for awards and exchange innovative ideas to develop practical solutions for a sustainable future.

Winners of the Hong Kong competition will compete with the winners from Beijing, Foshan, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen divisions in the Grand Final round at the end of this year, further promoting technological collaborations and new market opportunities.
