A wide range of scholarships and admissions schemes are in place to recognize distinguished academic success and noteworthy non-academic achievements. High-achieving students โ€“ including medalists and students with top entrance exam scores โ€“ may qualify for extra scholarship support from the School of Engineering, on top of the Universityโ€™s award.

Admissions Scholarship#

Scholarships are awarded to outstanding students from all academic backgrounds including IB Diploma, GCEAL/IAL, Advanced Placement (AP), and others. No application is required.

Scholarships are also awarded to top students with excellent achievement in STEM subjects (Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Computer Science). Consideration is given holistically to applicants for these scholarships, based on their profiles. Awards may be one-off or renewable, and may fully or partially waive tuition fees. The largest scholarship amount is equivalent to the full tuition fee plus an allowance of HK$60,000 per academic year, renewable for the normative duration of study. No separate application is required. Normally, applicants are notified of the scholarship decision when they receive their offer of admissions.
