About the Award

To nurture the brightest minds and empower them to excel in the field of Civil and Environmental Engineering, we have introduced this scholarship to reward top-performing HKDSE students who demonstrate exceptional academic excellence and a passion for the discipline.

The Scholarship recognizes the exceptional academic performance of the top 8 to 10 students admitted to the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering via JUPAS. 

Exclusive Benefits for the Scholarship Recipients:

  • Admissions Award: Each awardee will receive an award of HK$10,000.Note 1
  • Global Exchange Program: Awardees will be given bonus in their applications for the School of Engineering Undergraduate Exchange Program to enhance their academic experience.
  • Internship Program: Awardees will receive priority nomination for internships to gain valuable industry experience with leading companies.
  • Mentorship Program: Awardees will have priority consideration for our mentorship program to receive dedicated guidance from industry professionals.

Who is Eligible?
  • Awardees are the top 8 to 10 students admitted to the CIVL Department via JUPAS, based on the highest weighted admissions scores. Note 2 & 3
  • Awardees must list the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CIVL) (JS5230) as a Band A choice in JUPAS.
  • Awardees must have attained Level 5** in at least one HKDSE subject or Level 5* in at least two HKDSE subjects in one single sitting.
  • The Scholarship Scheme applies to LOCAL students admitted on strength of HKDSE results only.
  • Successful applicants of SNDAS are also eligible.

Why CIVL?

Note:

1. The scholarship amount listed above is awarded in addition to the admissions scholarship award granted by the university and the School of Engineering based on the same HKDSE results attained. The total scholarship amount that students receive should not exceed Full tuition fee plus HK$60,000 allowance p.a.

3. Eligible students will be automatically considered for the Scheme based on their final HKDSE results. No application by students is required.
