Description
The program addresses the latest trends in AI development and aims to meet the growing demand for skilled AI practitioners. It is tailored to both recent graduates and working professionals seeking to enhance their expertise in this exciting and rapidly evolving field. The program aims to equip students with advanced skills and latest knowledge in AI and educate the next generation of AI professionals in various application sectors. Through courses and practicum training, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental principles and concepts of AI, enabling them to design, deploy, evaluate, and manage AI systems while upholding ethical and legal standards.
Content

Curriculum

Students are required to complete a total of 30 credits of coursework, including 12 credits of core courses, 12 credits of elective courses and a 6-credit compulsory Capstone Project course. Students are advised to commence the Capstone Project after completing all core courses. All the courses are normally held on weekday evenings as well as Saturday mornings or afternoons on HKUST campus. For details, please refer to the ARIN course list.

Admission and English Proficiency Requirements

Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline. Applicants with a bachelor’s degree in other disciplines must have at least two years of post-qualification work experience relevant to the program. Program Fee

The nominal program fee for 2025/26 Fall intake is HK$360,000 (full-time study to be paid in 2 installments and part-time study to be paid in 4 installments).
