Sustainable Smart Campus

In February 2019, HKUST launched the Sustainable Smart Campus as a Living Lab (SSC) initiative, an endeavor to transform the University campus into a platform for learning, experimenting, and showcasing new ideas and approaches to sustainability. By combining sustainability principles with smart and innovative approaches to solving problems – and by using the HKUST campus as the platform to see and experience the results – the SSC fosters and actively supports University-wide initiation of and participation in sustainability-related projects. It also demonstrates HKUST’s leadership in creating a sustainable and smart pathway to the future.
