Signing of Collaboration Agreements to Establish HKUST(GZ)

On December 21, 2018, HKUST signed agreements with the Guangzhou Municipal Government and Guangzhou University to establish Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou). Located in Nansha, HKUST(GZ) is being developed as a complementary hub to HKUST in Hong Kong, boosting HKUST’s overall capacity for frontier development in education, science and technology, business and management as well as knowledge transfer. Cross-campus collaboration is encapsulated in the Unified HKUST-Complementary Campuses framework. The campus is expected to open in September 2022.
