Prof Matthew McKay of Electronic and Computer Engineering has won the 8th Asia Pacific Young Researcher Award by IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc).

Sponsored by IEEE Asia Pacific Board (APB), the award honors researchers who have been very active in ComSoc publication and conference activities over the last 3 years.

The award committee selected a winner from countries in the Asia Pacific region. The award ceremony will be held at the APB meeting of the IEEE GLOBECOM 2013, Atlanta, US, on 9-13 Dec 2013.
