The get-together with awardees of AEON Credit Service Scholarships 2025 was held by the University’s Development and Alumni Office on September 19, 2025, at HKUST’s brand new Alumni Commons, bringing together the representatives from AEON Credit Service (Asia) Company Limited (“AEON Credit Service”) and the scholarship awardees for an afternoon of recognition and sharing.

Among the 15 awardees this year, a majority are from the School of Engineering (SENG) or in joint programs of SENG and other Schools:

  • SO Chun-Hin, Dual Degree Program in Technology and Management
  • Harry LI Yu-Hong, BEng in Computer Science
  • LAI Wai-Ip, BEng in Computer Science
  • HONG Lanxuan, BSc in Computer Science
  • MOK Ka-Chun, Dual Degree Program in Technology and Management
  • HUI Chun-Wai, BEng in Computer Science
  • Anthony HOU Tian-Rui, Dual Degree Program in Technology and Management
  • FU Suen-Man, BSc in Data Science and Technology
  • GU Mingrui, BSc in Data Science and Technology
  • HE Pui-San, BEng in Computer Science

The event began with opening remarks by Mr. WEI Aiguo, Managing Director of AEON Credit Service, who reaffirmed the company’s commitment to youth development through education. To express the University’s appreciation, Associate Dean of Engineering Prof. WANG Yu-Hsing represented HKUST to present a souvenir to Mr. Wei. This was then followed by the awardees’ sharing of how the scholarships impacted their academic journeys, extracurricular experiences, and career aspirations.

Since 2018, AEON Credit Service Limited has donated HK$1.25 million in scholarships to HKUST students and renewed its support for the 2025/26 academic year, highlighting an enduring partnership that empowers student achievement and growth.
