Prof. FAN Zhiyong Earned Scientist Award at International Conference on Frontier Materials 2025
Prof. FAN Zhiyong, Chair Professor of the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering and the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, was honored with a Frontier Materials Scientist Award – the highest level of awards with only three recipients – at the International Conference on Frontier Materials 2025 (ICFM). In addition, postdoctoral fellow Dr. DING Yucheng and PhD student CAO Yang from Prof. Fan’s research group were presented with Frontier Materials Graduate Student Awards.
The conference, in its third edition, was held in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province on April 18-22, 2025, and attracted around 1,000 materials science researchers to its comprehensive program of symposia and forums in seven topical clusters. It is organized under the International Union of Materials Research Societies (IUMRS) and is the only conference that IUMRS regularly hosts in China.
ICFM 2025 featured over 20 parallel symposia where Prof. Fan served as the Chair of the symposium on Photoelectric Materials.
