Prof V G Chigrinov of the ECE Department has published a new book titled "Liquid Crystals - Viscous and Elastic Properties", which is co-authored with Sergey V Pasechnik and Dina V Shmeliova. The book focuses on fiber optic devices in telecommunication circuits, presents and discusses the viscous and elastic properties of liquid crystals, and shows the importance of these properties for practical applications in both display and non-display technologies.
