Academy for Bright Future Young Engineers
The Academy aims to provide an innovative and student-centered platform to engage high school learners in authentic engineering experiences and inspire them to embrace an engineer’s habits of mind. Students will build resilient problem-solving skills and be empowered to think like engineers through a series of collaborative and student-directed projects.

Enrichment Program for Gifted Learners
It aims to nurture high potential students by providing them with opportunities to explore different STEM areas to broaden their knowledge and let them experience the teaching style and learning environment of a university under the guidance of HKUST’s faculty and professional instructors. The courses cover areas in Chemistry, Life Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering and Computer Science, and last for a few days / weeks in summer every year.

The HKUST Summer Institute is held annually and one of the most anticipated programs for high school students in the region. Join us on a fun-filled adventure and get a head start on your university journey! Students currently in Secondary 4 or 5 (or equivalent) of any local/international schools in Hong Kong or overseas are welcome to apply.

STEM@HKUST, the University is delighted to draw together all of our fun and inspiring STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) activities for youngsters of all ages. The platform also provides resources for educators and outreach events of interest to community members in line with our goal to become a must-go-to resource for fostering Hong Kong’s tech talent and creativity.
Underwater Robot Competition
Underwater Robot Competition
The competition offers a unique platform for iSTEAM (Inclusion, Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) education. The Programme will engage over 250 tertiary students to lead more than 5,500 students (from Primary 4 to Secondary 3, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), disabilities, the underprivileged and ethnic minorities) and teachers to take part in this experiential learning and community engagement initiative.
