Prof. SHI Ling Received Shanghai Natural Science Award (Second Class)
Prof. SHI Ling, Professor of the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering (ECE), and his team were recognized with a Shanghai Natural Science Award (Second Class) 2024 by the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government for their project on “Optimization and Security of State Estimation under Constrained Network Resources”.
The project focuses on the co-design of system state estimation and data transmission mechanisms in distributed sensor networks. It conducts research from two perspectives: optimized scheduling of limited network resources and security defense against malicious attacks, ultimately establishing a theory of optimization and security for networked state estimation.
The team consists of Prof. Shi, along with his two former ECE PhD students, Prof. REN Xiaoqiang (now Professor at Shanghai University) and Prof. DING Kemi (now Associate Professor at Southern University of Science and Technology), as well as his collaborator Prof. YANG Wen (Professor of East China University of Science and Technology).
