A cross-departmental team of three postgraduate students won the championship and Special Award for IDex in the tertiary education category of the Hong Kong Electronics Project Competition 2024, organized by the Electronics Division of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE).

The team comprises Electronic and Computer Engineering MPhil student CHAN Sum-Ping and PhD student YE Wenhao, and Mechanical Engineering MPhil student FANG Sile.

With the theme of “Creating resilient cities with innovation and technology”, the competition aims to raise the awareness of innovative technologies in Hong Kong and nurture engineers and students to effectively use and apply innovative technologies to improve the quality of life.
