Prof. ZHOU Yuanyuan Received Young Scientist Award at IPS-25
Prof. ZHOU Yuanyuan, Acting Head and Professor of the Department of Materials, received the Young Scientist Award at the 25th International Conference on Photochemical Conversion and Storage of Solar Energy (IPS-25). The award, given to professorial-level researchers at or under the age of 49, recognizes his outstanding scientific achievements and emerging leadership in photochemical energy science and advanced photovoltaics.
Prof. Zhou’s research has advanced next-generation photovoltaic technologies through fundamental understanding of photovoltaic materials and interfaces and innovative strategies to improve device performance, stability, and scalability. His work bridges materials science, photophysics, and photovoltaic engineering, contributing to the development of high-performance and durable perovskite solar technologies.
Held in Seoul, Korea, from July 12 to 17, 2026, IPS-25 continues a distinguished international conference series dating back to 1974. For more than five decades, IPS has brought together leading researchers in photochemistry, photovoltaics, photocatalysis, photoelectrochemistry, and solar fuels to advance the science and technology of solar energy conversion and storage.
This award highlights Prof. Zhou’s scientific contributions and growing international leadership in advanced photovoltaics. The recognition reflects the impact of his research and its potential to accelerate the development of next-generation solar technologies for a sustainable energy future.
