Prof. LU Yanglong’s Team Received Best Paper Award at 2026 ASME Manufacturing Science and Engineering Conference
A joint team of faculty members and PhD students from HKUST’s Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) and HKUST(GZ) received the Best Paper Award at the ASME Manufacturing Science and Engineering Conference, held at Penn State University, US, on June 14-18, 2026.
The team is made up of HKUST(GZ) PhD student QU Huangyi (supervised by Prof. CAI Yi at HKUST(GZ) and co-supervised by Prof. LU Yanglong of the MAE Department at HKUST), HKUST MAE PhD students DONG Bin and LIU Shishuo (both supervised by Prof. Lu), as well as Prof. Cai and Prof. Lu.
Their winning paper, “Sponge-Inspired 3D-Printed Lattice Biosensors for Wearable Pressure Sensing”, was selected from a pool of 179 submissions, highlighting the team’s exceptional work in the field of advanced manufacturing.
