Mechanical Engineering PhD student ZHANG Guangwu received a Poster Award for his paper entitled “Significant Suppression in Thermal Transport of β-Ga2O3 Induced by Inhomogeneous Strain” at the Materials Research Meeting 2025 (MRM2025), which was held in Yokohama, Japan from December 8-13, 2025. Guangwu’s supervisor is Prof. ZHENG Qiye, Assistant Professor of the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering.

Organized by the Materials Research Society of Japan biennially since 2019, the Materials Research Meeting is an interdisciplinary international conference designed to promote high-level global discussions in materials science. MRM2025 aims to provide a forum for discussing the latest advancements and applications in cutting-edge materials science to address global environmental challenges, including climate change, and to work toward the realization of a sustainable society.
