HKUST and IFLYTEK Signed Memorandum of Understanding to Cultivate Future Talent in Technology
The School of Engineering at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) and IFLYTEK (International) Limited have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking a new chapter in the partnership between the two organizations. This collaboration embodies a shared commitment to advancing educational excellence and cultivating future talent in technology.
Prof. George YUAN, Associate Dean of Engineering (Strategic Planning and Development) of HKUST, and Ms. Quinnie GUI, Director of Human Resources of IFLYTEK, signed the MoU agreement on behalf of the two parties. Also joining the meeting were representatives from both sides, including the School’s Center for Industry Engagement and Internship which continues to serve as a key bridge between students, academia and industry.
Prof. Yuan shared with excitement that through this strategic alliance, the School of Engineering will bridge academic theory with industry practice to further benefit our students in three major areas.
- Career Development: HKUST Engineering students will gain access to local and regional internships, business practicums, and job placements, empowering them with critical professional skills.
- Academic Collaboration: IFLYTEK will provide HKUST Engineering students research project topics and all-round support, enabling them to address real-world industry challenges and enhance their academic experience.
- Industry Insights: IFLYTEK representatives will participate in lectures, seminars, and workshops, offering students firsthand perspectives on emerging industry trends and practices.
