The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) successfully hosted its Friday Get-Together on April 25, 2025, bringing together around 100 students, faculty, and alumni to foster a spirit of community and collaboration. The event marked the conclusion of a series of Friday get-togethers held by the School of Engineering’s six departments on the last Friday of each month during the 2024-25 academic year.

The event began with welcome speeches from Prof. Hong K. LO, Dean of Engineering, and Prof. ZHANG Fumin, Acting Head of the MAE Department. Their remarks underscored the importance of strengthening ties and sharing experiences among the engineering community.

This was then followed by a start-up experience sharing session featuring MAE alumni entrepreneurs: Jungjin PARK (VisionARi), Dr. Stanley LEUNG (O_Oley Goggle), Jeff CHEN Haoran (Lumos Helmet), and Ricky CHAN (XOXO Beverages).

After the alumni presentations, attendees engaged in a fun trivia game that added a lively atmosphere to the evening. The event concluded with mingling activities accompanied by refreshments, allowing participants to connect and share ideas in a relaxed setting.
