Engineering Postgraduates Won First Prize in China College Students Mechanical Engineering Innovation and Creativity Competition

A Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) postgraduate student team, supervised by Prof. DUAN Molong, received a First Prize in the 2024 China College Students Mechanical Engineering Innovation and Creativity Competition – Intelligent Precision Assembly Competition (Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Area Trial). Organized by the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, the competition was held at Shenzhen University from August 16 to 17, 2024.

The team consists of MAE PhD students ZHOU Yi, LIU Shuai and WANG Sichen, MAE MPhil student YE Pengfei, as well as Integrative Systems and Design undergraduate student XU Ziyi. They will be one of the groups representing the Greater Bay Area to participate in the national competition at the Beijing Institute of Technology this year.

The competition aims to provide an academic exchange platform and promote the application of advanced concepts and technologies in intelligent precision assembly. It also sets to cultivate innovation and stimulate the interest of university students in mechanical engineering and related interdisciplinary fields and promote the continuous development of smart engineering technology.
