The newly released prestigious Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings of Top 100 Universities for Engineering and Technology 2014-15 ranked HKUST first in Greater China and 21st globally. HKUST climbed up 6 places to World’s No. 51 while its Engineering continues to propel forward at the forefront of the league table as World’s 21. HKUST has hit the No. 1 spot in Engineering and Technology in Greater China for four straight years.

Placed 21st globally, HKUST is ahead of Tsinghua (23rd), University of Tokyo (25th), Columbia (30th), Purdue (45th), and UC San Diego (50th).
