Accreditation / Recognition
Bachelor of Engineering programs offered by HKUST are accredited by the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers. Through the Washington Accord, HKUST engineering degrees and those awarded by universities in countries like Australia, Canada, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, South Africa, Turkey, the United Kingdom, the United States, etc., are mutually recognized. Programs related to Computing and Information and Communication Technology are recognized under the Seoul Accord, which signatories include Australia, Canada, Korea, the United Kingdom and the United States, etc. Through the two Accords, HKUST BEng degrees are widely recognized around the globe, opening up an international spectrum of jobs and career prospects for graduates.
