โšกDue to the new admissions framework of the School of Engineering, the flexible admissions threshold for ENGG+AI was adjusted.

๐Ÿ”บExpected score range is provided for the new Engineering Programs (JS5220, JS5230, JS5250, JS5260, JS5270). JUPAS applicants whose HKDSE scores meet this score range will be considered.

*๏ธโƒฃ All admissions scores are applicable to local students and are provided for reference only. The public examination results of students admitted to each program vary from year to year. HKUST considers an applicantโ€™s whole profile, on top of the HKDSE score.

*๏ธโƒฃ All scores presented in these tables is based on the following conversion scale for 2025 Entry: Conversion of levels to scores (Category A Core / Elective Subjects) 5**=8.5, 5*=7, 5=5.5, 4=4, 3=3, 2=2

For HKUST Engineering Programs, the University will consider JUPAS applicants who:

  • Perform well overall but miss the entrance requirement of 3-3-2 by one level in one HKDSE core subject (Chinese Language, English Language, Mathematics);
  • Possess an HKDSE program score that is higher than the Reference Score of the selected Engineering Program(s); and
  • Put the selected HKUST Engineering Program(s) in Band A JUPAS choice.

The Dean of Engineering Scholarship for HKDSE Holders

HKDSE candidates attaining Level 5* or Level 5** in one or more Category A subjects or M1 / M2 in one single sitting of HKDSE are eligible for the HKDSE Scholarship. The School of Engineering (SENG) has further enriched some of the scholarship amounts for local students.

Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) Scholarship#

WISE has been set up to encourage outstanding female students to pursue STEM related undergraduate programs.

Who is eligible?

  • New full-time female local student
  • Attained Level 5** in at least one HKDSE subject
  • Selection is based on students' non-academic talents, science & technology competition achievements, interview performance and financial needs.

#Top-up scholarship may be offered by School/Program Office provided that the maximum limit of "Full Tuition Fee + HK$60,000 allowance" p.a. is not exceeded.

 

School Nominations Direct Admissions Scheme (SNDAS)

The Education Bureau (EDB) has introduced SNDAS to recognise the talent of local students that could not be fully assessed by HKDSE. Each Hong Kong secondary school can nominate up to two students to HKUST for direct admissions.
