Final-year Mechanical Engineering undergraduate student Jason YEUNG Chun-Ho demonstrated his exceptional athletic talent at the 63rd University Sports Federation of Hong Kong (USFHK) Annual Athletic Meet held on March 8-9, 2025. Representing HKUST for the fourth consecutive year, Jason secured first place in the Men’s 1,500m race and third place in the Men’s 800m race.

He is currently ranked Hong Kong’s No.1 in Men’s 3000m steeplechase, according to the Hong Kong Association of Athletics Affiliates’ latest ranking in 2024, and has represented Hong Kong in overseas races. He was admitted to HKUST through the Student Athletes Admissions Scheme (SAAS) in 2021.

While Jason has always been passionate about athletics, he has only focused on long-distance running since his final years of high school. His dedication and perseverance have now positioned him as one of Hong Kong’s top athletes.

Looking ahead, he will continue running for Team Hong Kong after graduation and aims to inspire the next generation as an athletic coach for other runners.
