Three HKUST Engineering Scholars Named Highly Cited Researchers 2024 by Clarivate
Three faculty members in the School of Engineering have been honored as Highly Cited Researchers 2024 by Clarivate. The annual list of Highly Cited Researchers recognizes influential researchers at universities, research institutes and commercial organizations around the world who have demonstrated significant and broad influence in their field(s) of research.
The three SENG honorees are (in alphabetical order of last names):

This year 6,636 Highly Cited Researchers from more than 1,200 institutions in 59 nations and regions are selected. Each researcher selected has authored multiple highly cited papers which rank in the top 1% by citations for their field(s) and publication year in the Web of Science over the past decade. Of the world’s population of scientists and social scientists, Highly Cited Researchers are 1 in 1,000.
The 2024 list has shown strong growth for Hong Kong SAR, with its number of Highly Cited Researchers rising to 134, accounting for a 1.9% share of the global total.
