Coming from a family with an engineering background, I’ve always been fascinated by the world of technology. Starting from small things like fixing home appliances to huge projects such as building a calibration test-band. Grouping up with my brothers made me realize that engineering is all about teamwork to achieve the same goal, which suits very well with HKUST’s curriculum. Majoring in Electronics and Computer Engineering, I’ve been through many group projects which shaped me into a better collaborator and made me believe that HKUST is the perfect university for me to continue my learning journey.

Once I set foot in this place and met new friends, despite being competitive, I witnessed the beauty of how people are willing to support their peers whenever they encounter hardships. In addition to peer support, HKUST provides a vast amount of opportunities that motivate me to try new things such as joining the Engineering Student Ambassador program. Thus far, I enjoy how this program constantly teaches me how to effectively communicate and deliver my ideas understandably.

As my experience keeps growing each day, I have a dream to start my own company back in Indonesia. “Dream as high as the sky. If you fall, you will fall among the stars”, is a quote made by Indonesia’s first president, which I have upheld since I was a little kid. This quote reminds me to keep striving for my passion and not give up despite how unlikely it is. Thanks to the ESA community, I’m thankful for the opportunities as this will be the next huge stepping stone for me to achieve my goals.
