Since I was small, I have been aiming to reach the sky, and enter the aviation world. I even picked scientific electives at high school, just to achieve my goals. Whether or not it is a childhood dream or a fantasy, I decided to make it come true. I was always fascinated by engineers turning dreams into reality. Not only do they have the expertise on the technical side, but they are also able to optimize and manage systems in our daily lives. I decided to embark on the journey in Aerospace Engineering. It would help me become well-equipped for my future workplace in aviation, with the industrial experience and fundamental knowledge.
Reaching the next milestone in life is never easy. I decided to step out of my comfort zone by transforming into a more outgoing engineering student and participating in leadership roles as mentors and student ambassadors at school. As an Engineering Student Ambassador, I share the similarity of being innovative with a can-do spirit. Sharing with prospective students and cooperating with other fellow ambassadors at HKUST would train my communication and presentation skills.
“Embrace uncertainties and ambiguity in life”
I would never imagine we have been through online learning for some semesters. These times didn’t deter the learning experience at HKUST. Being an aviation enthusiast, I join the Aero Team and Hong Kong Air Cadet Corps. Preparing for the overseas contest for radio-controlled planes, working with like-minded students who aim for the same goal was a fruitful experience. By developing ideas and unleashing our full potential with team members, it is never a lonely journey and I constantly hope to achieve more.
I always look forward to challenges in life. Let’s leap over the hurdles and make the most out of our university lives!
