Having one inquisitive mind, I’m always fascinated by how things work instead of accepting them as they are. My curiosity has often led me to learn new things and discover how things function with their respective components; therefore, studying engineering has always been my dream. Being able to take different introductory courses from the school of engineering before deciding on one specific major has allowed me to have a taste of various fields of engineering. As such, I’m particularly passionate about computers and technology. The principle of computation and communication being taught in high school never cease to amaze me. Consequently, choosing computer science as my major truly appeases my inquiring mindset for computing and engineering. The number of opportunities in HKUST is endless. Ranging from different workshops to seminars, there's always a chance for you to learn and try out something new. Not to mention that there are a lot of hands of courses and laboratories session that can provide a better understanding of certain topics that would truly broaden your horizon on diversified subjects. Being surrounded by some extraordinarily and talented peers has always motivated me to improve myself. Generally, students here give out the atmosphere that "work hard and play hard" where sometimes it can be stressful studying in this environment, there are always ways for students to enjoy their passion after a hard-working day of grinding. I am grateful that I got emitted into HKUST school of engineering and truly appreciate the effort the school has made to improve the overall learning experience. Joining the Engineering Student Ambassadors has always been my pleasure as a get to represent the school of engineering to promote the joy of studying engineering to youngsters.
