HKUST Engineering Ranks No. 14 in the World

According to the newly released QS World University Rankings by Faculty 2015 - Engineering and Technology, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) has continued to shine and was ranked No.14, its highest ever position in this league table. HKUST made a jump of one place from No.15 in 2014 and has been No.1 in Hong Kong for the sixth consecutive year. In the overall university rankings, HKUST was ranked No.28 globally, with an impressive leap of 12 places from No.40 in 2014, that reflects its No.1 position in Hong Kong.

Three other local universities also made to the top 50, with positions ranging from 26th to 44th. The rankings assessed the universities in the four areas of research, teaching, employability and internationalization. Rankings indicators include academic reputation, employer reputation, student-to-faculty ratio, citations per faculty, international faculty ratio and international student ratio.

The School’s remarkable presence in international rankings is a reflection of our commitment to academic excellence and the accomplishments of our faculty and students.
