Hi, I am Tejas Kothari! Although I am Indian, I studied in a local high school in Hong Kong. Having studied in 3 countries and learned 6 languages, I consider myself a multicultural person.

My journey to HKUST started after my parents gifted me a desktop computer for my 6th birthday. I was fascinated by the inner workings of such a complex system. It was breathtaking for me to communicate with people thousands of miles away in an instant. This is when my love for engineering started and is the reason I am in the Computer Engineering Program. Apart from my interest in Engineering, having studied in 3 countries and learned 6 languages, I consider myself a logophile.

Keeping my interests in mind, I chose HKUST without a second thought after secondary school. After having learned about the global reputation for engineering, the various exchange programs offered and the multicultural environment, I knew HKUST would be the perfect fit for my tertiary education.
