It has been a great pleasure spending a year in university as a HKUST student. Courses were adequately demanding and interesting, unlocking the potential within me as a Computer Engineering student. Without understanding my passion, I joined HKUST and jumped into common core courses selected by the school. These courses were designed to introduce the majors that we would choose to specialize in throughout the upcoming four years. Thanks to the professors and the well-designed courses, I found myself having a great passion in designing and programming electronic hardware. Nevertheless, not all the courses were as enjoyable and a teammate I met during a team project must have had some other priorities than grades. Having ups and downs like a sine-wave, my university life quickly got filled with unforgettable experiences.
Unforgettable experiences include joining several societies and meeting new lifelong friends. Enjoying societal activities, studying, cooking, going to the gym together, and these friendships we shared are definitely the things I will remember.
There is no regret in joining HKUST. A wise man once said, if you can learn what you love with people you love, you are living the best of your life. I guess I am the person he has mentioned.
