The HKUST Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) Team won the Second Place in their first attempt in the Virtual RobotX Competition from the United States, an international challenge designed to broaden students’ exposure to autonomy and maritime robotic technologies.

The HKUST Underwater Robot Competition was attended by a record number of 86 primary and secondary schools in 2023 and concluded with an award presentation ceremony on June 3.

The HKUST ROV Team won their 11th championship in the Hong Kong Regional Contest of the MATE International ROV Competition since they joined in 2011. They will compete in the international competition in the US this June.

The HKUST ROV Team won their 10th championship in the Hong Kong Regional of the MATE International ROV Competition that they joined since 2011. They would like to express their greatest appreciation to IET Hong Kong, MATE, and judges for hosting the competition in a difficult time and those who supported them in manufacturing and testing their ROV.

The HKUST Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) Team, which consists of 15 engineering undergraduates, won championship in the 12th Hong Kong Regional of the MATE International ROV Competition and will represent Hong Kong to take part in the MATE International ROV Competition 2017 in Long Beach, California, US on June 23-25.
