With HKUST’s new BEng in Energy and Environmental Engineering program launching in Fall 2025, students will learn to design eco-friendly, economically viable, and socially responsible solutions to tackle grand challenges on creating clean water and clean energy.

Prof. Ben Chan is a member of a cross-university team to cultivate students’ holistic competencies through innovative and experiential learning approaches.
Prof. Kenneth Leung Wai-Ting is a three-time recipient of the Common Core Teaching Excellence Award, winning the Award in 2021 and 2023, and Honorary Mention in 2019.
