ECE Admissions Scholarship Scheme for HKDSE Holders

The Award

• HK$5,000 per Star obtained by a student in one or more Category A subject
  (5* is counted as 1 star, whereas 5** is counted as 2 stars)
• The award is additional to the scholarship amount to be awarded to a student in accordance with the HKUST and the Dean of Engineering Scholarship schemes for HKDSE holders, subject to the maximum amount allowed by the University, which is full tuition plus HK$60,000 living allowance per annum.

Eligibility

• Awardees must list Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering (ECE) (JS5250) as a Band A choice in JUPAS, and be eventually admitted to the ECE Department through JUPAS.
• Awardees must obtain a minimum admissions score of 38.
• Only senior secondary subjects in Category A are considered. Results of Applied Learning subjects and Other Language subjects will not be considered in this Scholarship Scheme.
• Mathematics Extended Module 1 (Calculus & Statistics) and Mathematics Extended Module 2 (Algebra & Calculus) are also considered as independent subjects for fulfilling the requirements of the Scholarship Scheme.
• Only HKDSE results in one single sitting will be considered.
• The Scholarship Scheme applies to LOCAL students admitted on strength of HKDSE results only.
• Successful applicants of SNDAS are also eligible.
• Eligible students will be automatically considered for the Scheme based on their final HKDSE results. No application by students is required.
