As a child, I clearly remember being amazed by the fact that computers were capable of solving highly difficult problems, and I used to dream of one day comprehending the science behind those amazing machines. That curiosity grew into a passion for engineering—an industry that combines both creativity and logic to build the tools that shape our world.

HKUST has given me the chance to bring my dream to life. My journey here has been truly life-changing. From actively participating in lively courses to collaborating with my peers on real-world problems, every single experience I have had has further strengthened my belief that engineering is a powerful tool. The flexibility of HKUST’s curriculum has acted as a launching pad for me to not only venture into electronics, computer science, and AI but also to discover other areas of interest, enabling me to adopt a multidisciplinary approach and proving its well-rounded curriculum.

Apart from what I have learned in the classroom, HKUST has contributed to my personal growth. As part of the Peer Mentoring program, I’ve had the privilege of advising and helping new students. Now, as an Engineering Student Ambassador, I am glad to have the chance to share my story and encourage students who aspire to become engineers to discover their own potential.

HKUST is not just a mere university; it is a place where ideas triumph, friendships are built, and dreams are transformed into goals. I look forward to interacting with prospective students and helping them see that HKUST can be the foundation of their dreams, just as it was for me.
