Engineering Student Ambassador, 2024-25
Class of 2026,
BEng in Computer Engineering
Department of Computer Science and Engineering

From an early age, I have been fascinated by digital products, such as phones and watches, which make our lives more convenient despite their compact size. This sparked my interest in learning the principles behind various engineering applications. Motivated by this curiosity, I joined the HKUST School of Engineering to delve deeper into my passions. In my first year, I gained exposure to several engineering disciplines by taking introductory engineering courses. By the end of the year, I confirmed my interest in software and hardware and chose Computer Engineering as my major.

HKUST offers great flexibility, allowing us to explore our interests. In my first two years, I built a solid foundation in science and technology, while my senior years focused on more specialized subjects that aligned with my interests. Throughout my studies, I have gained not only essential engineering knowledge but also valuable, practical hands-on experience. This greatly enhances my technical and problem-solving skills, which are key traits of a professional engineer. Minors in Business and Mathematics have further broadened my knowledge beyond the engineering disciplines, equipping me with a deeper understanding of various domains.

My journey at HKUST has been incredibly fulfilling. The Engineering Student Ambassador (ESA) program has provided me with numerous opportunities to engage in outreach events and connect with other prospective engineers and industry leaders. Other service opportunities, such as being a peer mentor, have also sharpened my communication and leadership skills, helping me become a well-rounded individual. Join our school to realize your potential!
