As a second-year Bioengineering student in the Chemical and Biological Engineering department at HKUST, my journey has been nothing short of inspiring. From the moment I chose to attend HKUST, I knew that the university's commitment to research and innovation would provide the perfect platform for pursuing my passion. One of the main reasons I chose HKUST was the availability of multiple research opportunities, even for undergraduates. I am particularly excited about participating in the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) in the coming semester, as I know it will be a significant step in furthering my research interests.

Beyond academics, HKUST has offered me an incredible environment to grow as a person. Joining various clubs and societies has not only sharpened my interpersonal skills but also introduced me to a vibrant community of like-minded individuals whom I now call friends. I am grateful for these experiences that have helped me develop both personally and professionally.

Moreover, I have had the opportunity to participate in exchange programs since my first year, which has allowed me to study abroad and immerse myself in diverse cultures. The exchange experience was one of the most transformative periods of my life, enriching my perspective both academically and culturally.

Looking back, I am proud of my decision to study at HKUST. It’s a place that nurtures curiosity, fosters collaboration, and empowers students to reach their full potential. I can't wait to see where the next few years will take me!
