It has been a life-changing experience to pursue my passion for engineering at HKUST, specifically computer science. I initially intended to study civil engineering when I enrolled at HKUST. The realm of computer science, though, posed a greater challenge and captured my interest as I dove into introduction courses in both those fields. The huge creativity behind programming attracted me and gained me more challenge and satisfaction. I was captivated by the field's rich intricacies and ongoing progress. Moreover, I found that there are few girls in this major, which finally aroused my desire to challenge myself in this major.

Undoubtedly, computer science has been a demanding and arduous endeavor for me. Countless obstacles and setbacks have tried to dissuade me along the way. I used to be discouraged by the difficulties that followed. However, each setback only served to fuel my determination further. With unwavering resolve, I persevered, taking slow but steady steps forward.

After two years of fundamental knowledge study at HKUST, I beganexploring in field of applications. I find myself immersed in Professor Chen Hao's project, which explores the application AI in medical imaging. This endeavor is both incredibly challenging and immensely gratifying. The opportunity to contribute to the advancement of medical technology through cutting-edge AI applications makes me excited and motivated to keep working harder. Through constant exploration and learning, I am determined to evolve into better myself.
