My first exposure to computing was in my high school computer lesson. It was my first time getting in touch with Python and how exciting it was to make my mobile application is truly unforgettable. The reason why I am so passionate about computing is that learning coding is more about a process of problem-solving and presenting your ideas in an organized and logical way. These mindsets help cope with challenges in real life. Even though that mobile application was simple, the process was meaningful to me: it was something I have created from scratch, on my own. Since then, it has sparked my interest in knowing more about computing and gives me the booster to join the engineering community in HKUST.

My journey in HKUST has proved to me how programming is not only about a matter of logical thinking but also creativity. Here in this inclusive community, we are always encouraged to make things come true, and the way we design solutions is never limited to any kind of methodology. I am lucky enough to join a SIGHT Camp project developing an application for eye health initiated by a group of students, which allows me to get hands-on experience in app development and be part of the team to create some impact.

I am ready for next chapter of life with HKUST, and you?
