Throughout my educational experience, I was always interested and enthusiastic to learn more about science and its applications to the real world. My interests extended from astrophysics and theoretical physics to artificial intelligence and robotics, where I would engross myself in articles and books ranging from The Elegant Universe by Brian Greene to Dune by Frank Herbert. Yet, it was only quite recent when I realized I sought to do something associated with engineering and technology.

Arriving at HKUST, I wasn't sure which engineering field I wished to pursue. The three fields that really grabbed my attention were computer science, electrical engineering, and aerospace engineering. Growing up and watching movies like Star Wars and Interstellar, I was always interested in science and its applications in technology and space travel. Fortunately, HKUST provided me with ample time and resources to decide my major of choice. In the end, I chose to pursue Computer Engineering since I would get the opportunity to experience the growing hardware and software industries in today's society. 

I think that the HKUST School of Engineering is a great place for you to find your true passion and immerse yourself with a multitude of projects, internships, and playful activities. Not only will you push yourself to succeed, but you will also get to experience diversity and make new friends from various cultural backgrounds.
