Laura Ka Wing

I like to create things. That is the reason why I joined the School of Engineering. I hope one day, in the future, I can point at a building and tell ‘I was a member of the construction planning team!’. I found a sense of achievement in joining different events in HKUST. Industrial training is one of the remarkable events of my study in Civil Engineering. In the session, we assembled a metal scaffolding and built a mini-sized brick wall with my groupmates. I enjoyed the process of planning and working together, and also the success after we finished the task.
To fulfill my desire to share my production with others,  I am currently an illustrator sharing the pictures I draw on social media to share my daily life and some university life at HKUST. Though it is still a small project, I love planning the contents before I produce a post. Drawing is one of the crucial sources of my relaxation, and I hope I can share the happiness with others as well. It is never an easy task to attract people to click the ‘Follow’ button. Social media marketing strategy and my creativity are the elements of doing this project.  I can only keep trying and search for the best way to improve it at the early stage of the project. Take the first step, or you will regret it. That is how I started my first post and how I kept going on.
