Since I was a little girl, I have nourished my dream of standing out in this world by putting my best effort into my education. The high ranking of HKUST appealed to me almost instantly during my research for higher education. Once I was accepted into SENG, I received an offer of non-renewable scholarship covering my full tuition fee and living cost. It was just the push I needed in order to finalize my decision of studying in such an elite institution. I was impressed by how much the university valued my hard work in high school and I could only dream about the endless possibilities awaiting me in the coming years.

The interesting people, the rich educational experience along with the various extra-curricular activities tailored to suit just about everybody’s needs have surely made the journey here enjoyable. The exposure to the new culture, meeting people from various backgrounds and an independent lifestyle has shaped me up into a more open-minded and confident person.

I was very expectant of the ESA program’s promise to provide us with exquisite training in leadership, presentation, event organizational and communication skills along with opportunities to showcase what we learn from these training. Up until now, I have been amazed at how efficiently we have been provided with the aforementioned training and so much more. All of it makes me pretty confident that I will be able to fulfill my job as an Ambassador: help the budding engineers and their expectant parents learn more about the amazing School of Engineering at HKUST.
