Peter Ka Cheong TANG

Hello, my name is Peter! I am currently studying in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering.

I have made my mind to choose HKUST as a place to receive tertiary education since secondary three. At that time, I joined the Program Secondary School – The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Dual Program 2011 (Physics) organized by The Center for the Development of the Gifted and Talented HKUST. This was a unique experience in which the teaching and learning environment impressed me a lot. Instead of solely dealing with administrative work in the office, I prefer doing something meaningful. Engineers’ works appeal me, especially the part when playing a role of problem solver in their jobs. I enjoy being a problem solver and I like to collaborate with others. This is why I chose SENG.

I decided to become an Engineering Student Ambassador simply because I have had a fruitful year in my Year 1, so I want to reflect and exalt the bright side of the university and share the happiness and unique experience that I grasped in SENG to other people through participating in the Engineering Student Ambassador Program.
