Hi all! I'm an international student from India. When I first came to Hong Kong, I could have never imagined how my freshmen year would go. Although it was a difficult transition for me, at the end I'll say all of it was worth it.

HKUST has proven to be a second home to me as the people are warm and caring along with the professors. The friendly yet competitive environment in HKUST provides a healthy growth for the students. It offers ample opportunities in terms of sports, societies and even academics for students to discover their hidden interests. It was only in HKUST that I tried my hand at squash and really liked it. The diversity allows students to indulge in different cultures through food sharing nights and culture nights organised by different societies. My experience in SENG has been wonderful as well, getting help whenever needed and attending the activities organised by SENG helped me a lot in my transition.
