Stephen Yau Pun CHEN

Hi! I am Stephen, an undergraduate student studying computer science and engineering in HKUST School of Engineering.

HKUST SENG was among the first few Schools that came to my mind after deciding to study engineering for its well-established prestige in Hong Kong and Asia. But that's not the end of story. The School is steadily evolving and accumulating global reputation over the time. It was the School's advocacy of can-do spirit and entrepreneurship that prompted me to choose HKUST SENG as I am always aspired to put knowledge into good use and make my own impact.

My first year in the School has been incredible. HKUST SENG provided me with unique learning experience as I had hand-on practice in nearly all my engineering fundamentals. I learned a lot from its diverse community – a melting pot of people from diverse backgrounds, holding different beliefs and passions. It is simply amazing to be part of the culture. At the same time, students here would never be bored in the energetic School because there are lots of interesting activities to be engaged in, like water sports, student societies and even their own research projects, the list is endless. Furthermore, people will never get tired of the scenic campus of the university. For me, I am still awestruck by the breath-taking panorama of Clear Water Bay even after one year of study here.
