Not only will the School of Engineering teach you the technical knowledge but also the problem solving skill in an indirect way. Such skill is cultivated from being an engineering student. When I am in labs or doing my assignments, it is frequent for me to encounter some technical problems that affect my progress. Sometimes it is debugging a program, or sometimes you have to find out where your problem is from. Frankly speaking, going through all these processes are tedious and it is definitely a nightmare for me. However, by the time you try to solve the problem step by step, both logical mindset and problem solving skills will have been built up.

When you step into the society in the future, having these skillsets is a guide for you to solve problems that you might not be familiar with. I am totally benefited under this circumstance. In my last internship, I was told to solve an industrial engineering problem, but I am a computer engineering student. I tried to analyze the problem step by step and finally I did solve it! As an Engineering Student Ambassador, I want to use my unique experience to tell others the importance of engineering and how the School of Engineering can make you a different and a more competitive person.
