In the olden days, it was difficult to imagine a woman entering a construction site and working amongst the majority of male workers. However, times have changed, and the gender stereotype in engineering has mostly been mitigated and more women are willing to join, develop, and thrive in the engineering profession.

I have aimed to become an engineer since my childhood, and I found HKUST to be a great place for nurturing elite engineers. HKUST not only provides many opportunities to help us familiarize ourselves with the real workplace, it also builds up a platform for us students to enhance our core skills, such as leadership and problem-solving, so that we can better equip ourselves after graduation.. Additionally, HKUST holds numerous campaigns and events, including the Engineering Student Ambassador program, to enable students to enrich their school life by making friends and organize activities through societies and clubs. For me, HKUST is the most important stepping stone in my life, in which I can convert my potential into capability and proficiency in engineering knowledge and working abilities.

As an Engineering Student Ambassador, I am grateful to be able to share my views and experiences with my fellow schoolmates. I would love to show you more of this fabulous place and take part in your wonderful HKUST school life!
