Hi there, my name is Victor. I am a boxer, dancer and an electronic engineering student at HKUST. One phrase which has stuck with me since my childhood was, “Keep your head up and do not settle”. When I was a child, I never fully understood the meaning of it. Today, it has influenced me and the decisions I make. I have always had the dream of starting up my own tech company but it was not until I chose to study engineering in HKUST, that it turned my dream into a goal.

One of the great things I like about HKUST was the opportunity to try different fields of engineering during my first year. It was from this that made me realize my interest in electronics and inspired me to further pursue the things that I truly enjoyed doing. It has also brought me to see firsthand that when you find and do the things that you love, remarkable things happen. Being a part of the Engineering Student Ambassador Program, I hope to share this realization with others and by doing so influence them to achieve great things.
