Engineering is something that has excited me from a very young age, whether it was about breaking apart deteriorated electronics, building mechanical models or trying experiments with random things from the kitchen. This enthusiasm, coupled with my curiosity, made me love the idea of being an engineer ever since I can remember.
Although I was intimidated by HKUST being a top university with a reputation of being competitive and living away from the comfort of my home, I can say that this has been the most fruitful experience of my life and I am looking forward to attending the next few years. It has not been easy, but then again, is anything that easy even worth doing?
I have gotten the opportunity to explore innumerable courses ranging from climate change to sustainability, which has been a great experience. With the wide spectrum of courses offered, I have not only studied courses I was interested in but also developed new interests in topics that intrigued me.
My journey through the Engineering Student Ambassador Program’s selection process has been quite rewarding and I am grateful to be a part of this family of inspiring and talented individuals. I have formed profound bonds and found outstanding role models through this amazing process.
I hope I can help people find their true passion in engineering through one of the best universities in the world while contributing to HKUST’s journey forward and inspiring individuals by kindling a love for engineering in them.
